Negambo, or Little Rome, is startling and energetic.
In the morning, as fishermen haul their catch impromptu
fish-markets spring in the beach. In the evening, streets
buzz with tourists popping from restaurants to pubs
to cafes, enjoying everything from fish and chips to
chili-fried prawns and rice.
