This is a typical accompaniment to the mutton biriyani during the Eid-ul-Fitr festival.
Ingredients
1.
1 whole chicken
2.
3 tbsp tamarind
3.
¼ tsp turmeric powder
4.
1 tbsp chili powder
5.
1 tbsp freshly ground black pepper
6.
Oil for frying
Serves 4 - 6
Method
1.
Mix chicken with all ingredients and par-boil.
2.
Heat the oil and deep fry.
